I see a beach with tables and shelters directly in front. Can I swim at the beach?

The beach is indeed directly across the road and on Lac Bay -- you can watch windsurfers farther out in the bay. However the beach is shallow and populated by protected sea grass habitat, and therefore not suitable for swimming.

An excellent swimming beach is 3 minutes away, adjacent to the windsurfing center at Sorobon.

Does Mangrove Casita have 120V or 240V electrical outlets?

As is generally true on Bonaire, we provide both 120V and 240V outlets. Therefore the chargers for your devices should not require additional adapters. However certain appliances, like electric clocks, may operate at different speeds than at home because Bonaire's electricity is 50 Hz, compared to 60 Hz in some countries like the US.

Where can I purchase groceries?

Van den Tweel supermarket is 7.2 km (4.5 miles) from us; by car it takes 8 to 9 minutes. Up that same street (Kaya Industria) is another large supermarket, Voordeelmarkt Warehouse.

What amenities do you not offer?

Mangrove Casita provides no swimming pool, no dishwasher, and no clothes washer. 

Could you explain how this one bedroom apartment can accommodate up to 4 guests?

The bedroom has a king-sized bed, so the casita is ideal for a couple. In addition, the two living room sofas are much wider than normal and were designed to be available as beds. If you wish to use one or both as beds we will provide bed linens for that purpose.

This is my first visit to Bonaire. I want to windsurf. Where do I begin?

Whether you are an experienced windsurfer or an absolute beginner, you can find rentals and lessons nearby at Jibe City, located at Sorobon, 3 minutes away by car.
